Previous projects that have had funding from the Create Fund include the Anti-Loo Roll Festival, Colchester Pride, Interactive storytelling performances from Funnelwick Limb, Colchester Fringe, Colchester Eco Festival and many more.

The BID encourages community groups, associations and organisations looking to put on events and initiatives in the city that are in need of additional funding to apply through this initiative.

BID Manager Sam Good says "It's great to launch the Create Fund again this year. We've seen some brilliant successes from this funding initiative before, including large scale festivals and community events which bring positive attention to Colchester City Centre. As this year we are celebrating City Status across the city, we highly recommend considering getting an application in if your organisation is planning a celebratory event within the BID Zone.

The deadline for this fund is Friday 31st March 2023, at 5 pm.
